General Manager – Melange Marketing (south Region) – TRIDENT LIMITED – Tamilnadu


Job Description

1. Sales Planning and Execution
a. Grow sales for the market (domestic and export) by driving resources to attain sales and profitability targets for melange yarn
b. Review enquiries and requests for proposals (RFPs) and ensure speedy submission of bids for melange yarn
c. Review/recommend/suggest pricing depending on the value of the deal and the quantity of purchase
d. Planning and distribution of sales targets F.O. wise/ SKU wise/ Distributor wise/ Route wise
e. Tracking daily sales, performing gap analysis vis–vis targets and take corrective actions
f. Ensuring achievement of targeted MOM growth and YTD growth targets
g. Commercial aspects of sales of melange yarn stocks and overdues

2. Sales Infrastructure Improvement
a. Increasing the number of customers covered by the team and benchmarking the same with other competitors in the area
b. Identification and appointment of new agents/distributors/ super-stockist, sub-stockists in the territory to achieve higher sales and higher market share
c. Monitoring the performance of the channel partners and take corrective actions accordingly

3. Sales Strategy
a. Identify potential customers and orders based on marketing intelligence
b. Review the size and characteristics of the market (domestic), and assess the competitive, economic, social and political forces affecting growth or decline
c. Develop and execute strategies ensure maximum profitability (based on EBITDA and NSR, quantity targets set by Business Head)

4. Customer Management
a. Identify and manage a very select group of customers who are high value/ high growth customers for the business across markets, channels and products
b. Attend to customer complaints (if any) and provide immediate resolution
c. Effectively manage business relationships with key customers to grow business

5. Channel Management
a. Develop channel strategies and mix, manage the relationships with key channel partners (e.g. agents) to drive profitability and growth (maximize sales realizations)
b. Manage sales operations and sales activity to maintain and grow the market share & help achieve business targets and targeted profitability

6. People Development:
a. Provide guidance, coaching and mentoring to direct reports
b. Plan and review performance of direct reports and provide developmental inputs
c. Successful Implementation of sales incentive program for the team

**Member should haveat least 4 years experience in managing and leading sales for Melange yarn in South India.
Salary: INR 9,00,000 – 15,00,000 P.A
